Blogger: Atom XML file generator, version 1.0
Recently, Blogger introduced some changes to the backup process for posts and comments. In the past, downloading all your blog data was as simple as pressing one button. Now, however, the system works a bit differently. You’ll need to access your Google Account settings, make a data download request, and wait for an email containing the link to retrieve your files.
Unfortunately, many users notice that these downloaded files often exclude the most important part — the posts themselves. It’s quite ironic that the very content we’re trying to protect doesn’t always appear in the backup. To make things easier, I’ve built a simple and efficient tool that lets you quickly save your real Blogger content with just a few clicks.
Steps to Restore Posts on Blogger
After you’ve created your post backup, bringing your content back is just as straightforward. Whether you want to recover your articles or transfer them to another blog, head over to Settings → Manage Blog. Then, click on Import Content and upload the previously saved backup file from your device.
This release, marked as Version 1.0, currently supports only post backups. Comment and label (category) saving features are still under development but will be available in upcoming versions soon.
